Textile and product designer Lisa Darland aims to enrich people’s haptic experience of everyday life through tactility, colour, form and patterns. The focus is to improve the user’s experience, by challenging traditional textile techniques and materials.
Challenging traditional techniques to find new expressions, minimize waste and develop products for a cirkular production cycle. By utilizing both the different techniques and materials characteristics.
By experimenting with materials, structures, dyes and shapes both with digital and hands-on techniques she turns sketches and drawings into textiles and objects with the notion of handmade but through modern production methods.
After graduating with a master's degree in design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - School of Design in 2019 with additional studies at Rhode Island School of design, she founded her own studio in the beginning of 2020 in Malmö
